About the chef:
Formerly earning a living as a corporate lawyer, turned vegan chef, Maria Amore, now feels she is making a difference in the world through her true love: vegan cooking! Driven by her desire to heal herself from a debilitating illness, Maria diligently researched nutrition and “went vegan” based on what she learned about healthy eating and compassionate living. Her love for cooking exploded with her newfound plant-based way of life.
Passionate about animals, nature, books, holistic health, meditation and cooking, so long as Maria is learning, she is happy. Maria is presently putting together a cookbook with vegan recipes she created and teaching vegan cooking at McGill University. She offers private, in-home cooking classes, workshops and runs various fundraisers. She is also a volunteer and foster family for abandoned animals.
When people say, “Be the change you wish to see in the world”, she whole-heartedly says, “I am”.
