5.7-magnitude earthquake shakes Bogota and other cities in eastern Colombia, according to the Colombian Geological Service

(CNN Spanish) — A 5.7-magnitude earthquake shook Bogota and other cities in central and eastern Colombia, according to the Colombian Geological Service.

The seismic fire was 152 kilometers deep and the epicenter was in Los Santos, Santander department, according to the Colombian Geological Service.

For his part, him United States Geological Survey (USGS, for its acronym in English) reported the seismic event of magnitude 5.3 and with its epicenter 3.3 kilometers from the city of Aratoca, Santander.

The National Unit for Disaster Risk Management (UNGRD) in Colombia assured on Twitter which is carrying out a “sweep” in the departments where the shock was felt, and has so far not reported any news of damage or casualties.
