(CNN Spanish) – Peru’s Interior Minister Vicente Romero reported on Wednesday on the national chain that six people were arrested and eight injured during protests against the government of Dina Boluarte.
Romero added that one of the detainees had previously thrown a Molotov cocktail at police and was now fully identified.
As for the eight people injured, Romero said four are civilians and four are police officers.
The minister added that there were no protests in the regions of Piura, Lambayeque, San Martín, Madre de Dios and Ucayali.
