Voters participating in local elections and polls will have to take account of the closure of the polls.
The National Electoral Institute (INE) reported Polling stations in Mexico State and Coahuila will open from 8am and close at 6pm local time. And the polling stations close when there are no more people in line.
Times for voting abroad
Mexicans living abroad have three types of votes, which also have deadlines.
Electronic Voting: This is done over the Internet and is available from 20 May and will close on 4 June before 18:00 TCM. This vote will take place through the Voting System (SIVEI).
Voting by mail: to vote in this way it was necessary to register in advance with the INE. Postal voting is enabled from April 27 to May 10, when the INE sends ballots to the address. Throughout the month of May, the vote had to be cast and sent back to the INE, until June 3 at 8:00. Votes will be tallied on June 4th.
In-person Voting: In-person voting for foreigners is permitted in the United States (Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles) and Canada (Montreal) during business hours. from 9:00 to 19:00 local time. The consulates will be opened in Los Angeles from 7:00 to 17:00local time.
To opt-in for this option, people had to register before March 10, 2023.
