(CNN Spanish) — The state prosecutor’s office in Jalisco, Mexico, said on Thursday it had preliminary information about the discovery of unidentified deceased people who match the physical characteristics of some of the young employees of a call center reported missing.
The findings were carried out in the Mirador Escondido neighborhood of Zapopan, the institute said, adding that it had shared the data with relatives of the disappeared and was waiting for the Jalisco Institute of Forensic Sciences to issue related opinions confirming the identity of the bodies.
Earlier, the institution said it was investigating whether the disappearance of a man would be linked to the investigation into seven call center workers reported missing between May 20 and 22 in the Guadalajara metropolitan area.
According to the prosecutor’s office, the missing man “was last seen on May 22 when he was on his way to work in the municipality of Zapopan”.
In another message, the agency added: “According to information provided to the Public Prosecutor by relatives, it is believed that the male may be linked to the investigation into the disappearance of seven young call center employees.”
